The carefully selected target compounds and the detection limits within which it is applied are continuously reviewed, updated and extended to address both present and future environmental legislation, locally and internationally.
SGS MultiTrace® allows the compilation of a variety of useful information within a relatively short peri od of time and on a reasonable budget. The scope of this testing method covers some 350 substances but is currently solely focused on soil and groundwater samples. However, an extension to other matrices and applications is being considered and is the subject of ongoing investigation.
All SGS MultiTrace® tests are completely and exclusively carried out by the SGS laboratories in Antwerp (IAC Division) and the process will be supported globally by the Group’s worldwide network.
The analytical development of SGS MultiTrace® was carried out by SGS in partnership with the Flemish Institute for Technological Development (VITO) located in Mol, Belgium, within their contract research targets.
